My December contribution to the Homesick Nomad photos is a family shoot; MY family. At least the side of the family I am married into. A month or so ago, we decided we wanted to do a family shoot to put a family picture over the mantle for Mama and Daddy Scriber. I am happy with both of the larger family shots. Then as a Christmas present, I volunteered to do each of the families. You can see we had fun. A little cold and a little more rushed than normal for the shoot, but we got it all done. And then processing all the shots took me a day or so. Here is a sample of our shoot.
My adorable nephew
Finally a smile after a good while of making goofy noises
How can you not want to just snuggle with this little guy!
I know it doesn’t look very good, but we were kinda just goofing around.
A great blessing to be a part of this family.
Nate didn’t really follow the program on this one… but when does he ever?
The three Scriber sisters and their hubbies.
The light was beautiful on this very cold morning.
Handsome little man! Talk about boogers and farts and any boy will smile.
All the grandkids in one shot.
We got to be a little artistic with some of these shots
Boosting the exposure version. This is why you should shoot in RAW
We brought the light on her face with a 4 ft reflector disk. My lovely assistant Katy helped me on this one.
The first pose of several. We shot a crazy amount of shots with various levels of light.
Camerabag 2 filters are pretty nice. Here is a bit of a retro look.
This small garden at Louisiana Tech is full of places to take photographs. This is a good one for standard portraits.

Caught in mid-sneeze. Gotta love it when that happens
